Ordered this at mpb for my Panasonic Lumix G10 and G6 cameras. The cameras are not very noisy, thus good for using at music events. I hope f/4 is OK for limited DOF portraits. I can’t believe how small this is. I could have bought this locally for less, but consideting the cost of transportation this wasn’t really a bad buy.

Panasonic G10 vs Fujifilm X100. I wanted a quiet camera for still pictures of musicians, while recording music videos. I was thinking about the Fujifilm X100, which is very silent. A Silent Shutter setting (electronic shutter) is not an option in artificial light, due to banding issues. I think I'll buy a portrait -/telephoto lens for the Lumix G10, which I keep in my car, instead. The Lumix G10 is not as quiet as the Fuji (not many cameras are) , ut I may be able to make a DIY BLIMP, reducing the shutter noise to an acceptable level. This means I'll also have a nice telephoto lens in my car for the Lumix G10. A used Panasonic 45-150mm MFT lens, which equals 90-300mm on a full frame camera, is appr. 150€.

Casually testing FUJIFILM X100 for artificial light shots. I believe this could be the right camera for photgraphing live music and theater. Very silent, even when not in silent shitter mode. Banding is very limitid, even with fast speeds like 1/250s. Only the photographs of a TV sceen showed severe banding issues. I am looking forward to testing it for real live music events.
