ELL owned 193.226 carrying RegioJet yellow livery departs from Prague main station with the 0721 RegioJet departure for Bratislava main station.

RegioJet are actually part of a student travel company who have brached out into operating trains between the major cities in Czech Republic (and beyond).

They hire 5 dual voltage Vectron locomotives from European Locomotive Leasing which work in a common fleet with 9 Czech Skoda locomotives and (at the time of writing) 2 TRAXX locomotives. It is believed that the owned TRAXX will replace the small fleet of leased Vectrons.

Heritage Skoda electric 242.267 notches up with the trademark popping and the whine from the traction motors as it departs Nepomuk with OS8903 Plzeň-Horažd’ovice stopper service.

Although looking the part in the latest ČD livery, these trains are set to be replaced by two car units from the December 2018 timetable change. What this will mean for the elderly 242 fleet is unknown, but there will almost certainly be casualties.

The hourly local service on this line is supplemented by a two hourly express service to Brno via České Budĕjovice, also operated by 242 electrics.
