Formerly a Fragonset machine, 31459 is now the property of HNRC. It received a partial repaint into BR Blue from all over black in 2016, but the roof was unfortunately not attended to.

During the Class 31 gala at the Weardale Railway, the loco is seen here approaching Frosterley caravan park with the extremely late running 1430 service from Bishop Aukland to Stanhope. The late running was around the 2 hours mark at this point.

31285 shows off the equipment installed during its previous life as motive power for the Network Rail structure gauging train as it approaches Frosterley caravan park with the 1310 Bishop Aukland to Stanhope service running 85 late here.

With the line resembling something that was about to be axed by Beeching as opposed to a preserved line with regular running days, 31601 heads away from Duffield towards Hazlewood during the Summer 2018 Diesel Gala at the Ecclesbourne Valley Railway.
