What can only be described as two of the most boring things I have ever heard! Nevertheless, the sight of two Class 73's in the midst of deepest rural Cheshire isn't exactly common!

73952 leads 1Q41 1311 Derby RTC to Crewe CS via Peak Forest, Buxton, Chester, Wrexham and the Merseyrail network towards Plumley station. 73951 was on the rear of the short train.

GB Railfreight 73128 'OVS Bullied CBE' stands in the new bays at London Blackfriars station waiting departure with 5Z73 Blackfriars-Tonbridge West Yard.

This loco will no doubt be no stranger to Blackfriars station, although not since remodelling which saw the terminus platforms move from the right hand side of the station to the left hand side and the lengthening of all platforms to accomodate the new Thameslink Class 700 units.

The London Underground owned 4TC stock is in tow and 73109 is on the rear, having arrived with a UK Railtours circular charter - taking in Hayes, Tattenham Corner and Bromley North passenger branches plus Angerstein Wharf freight branch - which started here earlier in the day.
