370 037 'Wojtek' of Cargounit just about evades the fast moving clouds with a poorly loaded intermodal service heading for Poland from Budapest - luckily with the few containers at the front of the train!

Cargounit have a growing fleet of Vectron (and other native Polish) locomotives and as can be seen from the branding 370 037 is leased to "bahnoperator" who specialise in movement between China and Europe.

193 957 has just passed through Dunakeszi-Gyártelep heading towards Budapest with a train of tankers containing methanol.

193 957 is an LTE locomotive and is advertising the job that one freight train can do by transporting the loads of 40 lorries.

471005 of Gysev is seen having just left Komárom with IC924 ‘Savaria’ from Budapest Keleti to Szombathely. Despite the Vectron being in the GySEV livery, this is actually MAV (Hungarian state railway) service as denoted by the coaching stock.

GySEV is an interesting company as it is owned jointly by the local authorities of Hungary and Austria with a small holding by Austrian state operator OBB. In addition to passenger transport, the group contains GySEV cargo, infrastructure and even a hotel in Sopron!

Second generation Taurus 1116 008 of OBB is approaching Komárom with a train of grain hoppers.

The route through Hungary to Austria and Europe is one of the main arteries for getting the grain backlog out of Ukraine and it is likely that this train is part of that effort.

Behind the train is the River Danube which is the border between Hungary and Slovakia (which can be seen the other side of the river).
