Known as "Fanta" and still holding onto its unique bright livery applied when under Loko Trans ownership, 240 105 is now working for Retrack Slovakia/VTG.
Originally the cab areas were painted fluorescent orange however this faded really quickly and started looking very tatty so a less bright shade of orange was used.

Retrack Slovakia 240100 is shortly to pass through the stop of Szár with a short train of RTI tanker wagons heading away from Budapest.
240100 is one of the slowly increasing fleet of privately owned Škoda "Laminátka" locomotives which, following replacement by newer traction, have been sold from Slovakian state operator ZSSK.
The former passenger sector locomotive, released from overhaul at Prerov works in the Czech Republic in July 2021, features heavily in Hungary solely on freight trains.

Not particularly common on passenger trains now are the GySEV Class 430 (formerly V43) locomotives.
Covering for an unavailable Vectron was 430 334 seen here leaving Komárom with a slightly delayed IC 934 'Savaria' from Budapest-Keleti to Szombathely.
The oldest of these Hungarian built machines are now approaching 60 years old and are limited to 120 km/h which means they are not ideal for passenger trains on the fast lines from Budapest.
