Finally up and over the top, SBPC now begins the 40 mile 10mph stretch of their journey. With dynamics on, they prepare for the descent into Beaver Canyon.

As the rear clears a slow order, SBPC smokes them out (just a drop in the bucket) to get back to track speed. The range is already dry despite it being mid July.. a foreshadowing of the fire season to come.

Well into their ascent to the top, an off schedule SBPC approaches the Snowline pass. A couple wildfires which have taken off the past few days make their presence known by hazing the sky.

Everyone knows the CNW in Wisconsin is dead. A few manifests, couple locals and a coalie or coke train may grace a photographer with their presence on the Adams sub. While outshined by the Canadian mainlines in volume, it is still bright. Searchlights, codeline, ABS, among other structures help draw me to this withered finger of the UP (which seems to be a theme for me the past few years). With a dreary scene all too familiar in Wisconsin, MCHAL forwards low priority manifest West into the night. This was a fun chase which started in Butler, and a disconnected hour of travel to show up 5 minutes before this train sweeped under the coaling tower at Clyman Jct.

Falling into the blue night as this train is all too familiar with, PCSB illuminates the siding at Humphrey.
