Here's the secret: You wake up in the morning, bed-warm and sleepy, half in your dreams, half already slipping back into reality. You have a choice. You take your dreams with you, or you forget. You surrender to the real world and all its harsh realities, or you choose your dreams - to live with clouds as your hair, stars as your eyes, the fabric of the universe dressing you in shimmering possibility. And if you choose the dream world, that first step down out of your bed into the colder morning chill will be a step into the rabbit hole instead. You won't feel the floorboards beneath your feet because you'll be falling, the infinite possibilities yawning open under you, and a big, wide expanse for you to fill with your hopes.

I shot this image over 10 years ago. I didn't like the original location but loved the implied movement of the characters, and I was drawn back year after year. I always set it aside, thinking, maybe next time.

A couple days ago I went searching for a different image and came across this one again. Something just clicked, and I finally got to finish something I started in what feels like a different lifetime.

Sometimes the things that don't serve us in one moment are simply waiting for us to be ready.
