taken from the freemansburg running track, this early 1990 view shows not only my skills at shooting directly into the sun, but also that there was a really cool signal bridge at JU at one point. this thing is so long gone, that i don't even remember it, even looking at this photo. glad i have a (really bad) picture of it!

so, as we were on 11/15 headed past enola yard, my nine year old self started yelling at alex and his mom "oh my god! an MKT engine! stop!" of course, neither of them believed me (would you?), until we did some drastic trespassing, just to get this not-all-that-awesome shot. this is the only MKT engine i have ever seen.

this is a pretty crappy picture by most standards, given the huge hunk of bridge in the foreground, but hey, how else can you prove that you shot from THE iron bridge, than to get a piece of it in your photo?

this was shot from the front yard of the house i grew up in, with the old cast iron bridge (now at sand island) in the foreground. WPAL-12 was the daily local that went past my house, on the former L&NE cement secondary.
