This part of the old Victorian promenade and cast-iron arches at Brighton is due for a refurbishment - time and sea spray have taken their toll on the ironwork. The cost will be huge but I hope it can be done, it really needs an upgrade.

Walking the dog on the Ardingly showground early one morning these backlit gravestones in the adjacent Ardingly Church graveyard caught my eye. Getting the sun out the shot and avoiding flare was a bit tricky, hence the tree in the composition blocking it out!
