I photographed this scene inside the old City Market in St. John, New Brunswick.
Photo taken with the OMSystem OM-1 Mk 1 and M.Zuiko 7-14mm f/2.8 Pro. I adjusted the final image to compensate for a little vertical converging line distortion using DxO PhotoLab. I also employed generative remove in Lightroom, something that I am normally loath to do, in order to remove a blurred head that wandered into the frame at the very bottom left. Otherwise, I believe it to be an accurate and faithful representation of the scene.

Walking the lower part of Princess Street towards Prince William Street in St. John, New Brunswick. It was early on St. Patrick's Day when I took this shot. An hour later, the crowds of green glad Leprechauns began to make their presense known. Unfortunately, we had a pretty full week and staying downtown for the celebrating wasn't on. Nevertheless, we did get a nice meal at Britts Pub and Eatery before headfing out.
On a side note, while St. John's, Newfoundland is the oldest European settlement in North America, St. John, New Brunswick is considered the oldest incorporated city in Canada, established by royal charter on May 18, 1785 due to a sudden population expansion with the arrival of thousands of loyalist refugees escaping the United States following its Revolution..
For age reference, here is a list of the founding dates of some of Canada's oldest cities: St. John's, Newfoundland (1583), Saint John, New Brunswick (1604), Quebec City, Quebec (1608), Montreal, Quebec (1642), Halifax, Nova Scotia (1749), Sherbrooke, Quebec (1793), Toronto, Ontario (1793 as York).

Looking up Germain Street and Wellington Row from Princess Street in St. John, New Brunswick. In the distance is St. John's Anglican Church (The Old Stone Church) framed by a foggy sky at the top of the hill on Carleton Street.
About the Church, Parks Canada's Historic Places website, has this to say:
"St. John’s reflects the earliest phase of the Gothic Revival in Canada, a transitional phase between the classical tradition and revived Gothic architecture, known as Romantic Gothic Revival. Built in 1823-6 to designs by John Cunningham, St. John’s is typical of the Romantic Gothic Revival style in its use of the forms and composition of 18th century classicism, over which Gothic embellishments have been applied. St. John’s is one of the earliest manifestations of this style in Canada. The church became known as the “Stone Church” for its use of stone, an unusual choice in a colony where wood was the usual building material at this early phase. The church includes a chancel built in 1872 to designs by local architect Matthew Stead, which follows a later, more historically correct phase of the Gothic Revival, known as Ecclesiological Gothic Revival."
All of that said, it certainly looks impressive at the end of this old street in St. John.

These old buildings are seen adjacent to a round-a-bout in Hampton, New Brunswick. The nearer structure was built in 1913 by stone masons, brought in from England to do the job. The building in the background is the Hampton Town Hall.

The corner of Princess Street and Charlotte Street in downtown St. John, New Brunswick is a place where old and new seemed to meet on the rainy and foggy day when I took this photo.
