I spotted these paddlers in a tandem kayak on Schwatka Lake while I was hiking the trail at its edge. With the Whitehorse to Dawson City canoe and kayak race fast approaching, there were a lot of boats on the lake practicing for the grueling trip.

Another photo of a wild loon out on a local lake. These are big impressive and beaitiful birds. Their call is one of the most haunting sounds you can hear in the Candian wilderness. In this photo, my wife drifts along in her kayak in the background.
