Floyd F. Kings and Walter J. Dixon designed this courthouse as associate architects in 1939-40. The WPA provided the labor.

The Aurora County Courthouse was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1993.

This great Classical Revival courthouse was designed in 1910 with the designs of architect W. E. Hulse. Hulse designed a number of public buildings throughout the western Midwest.

Built in 1968, this Modern red brick courthouse was designed by the architectural firm of Dana Larson Roubal & Associates.

Bennett County is bordered on the south by Cherry County, Nebraska, on the north and west by the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and on the east by the Rosebud Indian Reservation in a very sparsely populated corner of the Great Plains.

Bon Homme County is pronounced BAHN-uhm, and the seat is TIN-duhl.

This was my very first courthouse to photograph in the state of South Dakota.
