Erected in 1929-32, the Aitkin County Courthouse was designed by the architectural firm of Toltz, King, & Day. It features Beaux-Arts and Art Moderne elements and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Anoka County Courthouse was originally built in downtown Anoka in 1960 (the portion of the building visible here on the right). Additions were made to its western and northern elevations in 1966, 1972, 1976. The firm of Patch, Erikson, and Maddison designed the most recent addition in 1982.

The lovely Art Deco Becker County Courthouse in Detroit Lakes was erected in 1942 using the designs of architect Willard E. Randolph and the firm of Foss & Company. In 2008 an addition, designed by Lightower Johnson Associates, was made to its north elevation.

Erected in 1903, the Beltrami County Courthouse in Bemidji was designed by the architectural team of F.W. Kinney and M.S. Detweiler. This firm designed a number of courthouses around the Midwest.
Bemidji is famous for its location near the headwaters of the Mississippi River and its giant statues of Paul Bunyan and his giant blue ox, Babe.

The Beltrami County Justice Center was erected on the southeast side of the courthouse in 2006 using the designs of Stanius Johnson Architects.
