Located on the front lawn of the Union County Courthouse in downtown El Dorado, Arkansas, this memorial was erected by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1910. It is emblematic of the Jim Crow era of Arkansas.

The monument was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.
