Along HWY 95 thru Western Nevada you will find many old abandoned buildings- relics of the 19th century mining boom. I was trying to compose this picture in a way that I haven't seen done before, and I think I accomplished that goal. I am pleased with the brilliant sky (I have to admit that I am a sucker for tasty clouds), as well as the continued mountain range thru the far windows. I warmed up the light by adjusting my white balance to cloudy... that always seems to do the trick. I hope you enjoy this photo.

Badwater

The great thing about Badwater is that you don't have to wait until exact sunset to pull out some good images. This shot was about an hour before sunset, and at this time of the year the sun is angled low enough that it really lights up the rocks. Add a little cloud action, and you have some magic! I love the reflection of the mountain in the water, with the sprinkled salt nobs. This was a fun shot, and a reminder to me that I don't ALWAYS have to lug a tripod around!
