Shot with Canon EOS 6D and 3 different Singh-Ray GND filters - a 2 stop hard, 3 stop soft, and a 3 stop reverse grad.
Update 1/6/2014 - One year ago today this shot was featured on TodaysPhoto.org. I thought I'd bring it up to first in line again. Hope you like it!
Update 1/6/2013: Here's the link to TodaysPhoto.org and Sunrise of Fire, which is featured as Picture of the Day today, January 6, 2013:

A more detailed write-up for this shot:
Sunrise of Fire was taken on a short trip to Boulder, Colorado where I actually spent less than 24 hours.
I was told by a lady on the plane to visit a certain restaurant on Flagstaff Rd. I am glad because it happens to be the road that heads out of Boulder straight into the mountains.
This shot was taken early in the morning from a lookout on this road which overlooks Boulder. The beautiful sunrise was so strong, I had to use 3 Singh-Ray filters stacked over my Canon 6D and EF 24-105 f/4L lens.
Shot at 24mm with an aperture of f/18, at ISO 100, for a 10 second exposure. This image has not been edited or touched up in Photoshop, and is actually taken right from the SD card of my camera and uploaded.
The amazing colors and overall exposure of the image was made possible due to the use of the Singh-Ray graduated neutral density filters - I don't leave home without them!

Some angry waves and mist on this morning made for a beautiful, almost dreamy seascape as the sun did its best to shine over Miami, rising behind a solid, endless wall of clouds.

I found this spot during my ride 2 mornings prior, along route US 28, known as Moonshiner, just past the Fontana Dam in North Carolina. Instantly I knew I had to come back. Only early in the morning, it seems, there is this amazing low fog that hugs the river as it winds in between the forest covered mountains. I knew I had to capture it.
When I got to this spot for my shoot, I was greeted with such a dense low fog that I couldn't even see the mountains in the near distance. As the fog cleared, it became a thinly veiled mist gently glazing the low mountains and river. With blue skies and yet still many clouds below the hilltops, I knew I had my shot.
The final component, after firing off several long exposure shots, came when some fishermen dropped their boat into the lake and took off towards the bridge that is obscured by fog in this photo.
As their wake settled, I decided to increase my shutter speed to 1/4s (and open up my aperture to compensate) and ended up with the beautiful paint-like water surface you see here.
This image invites me and evokes feelings of being in nature and in the mountains. I hope it conveys something magical for you, as well. Enjoy!
Edit:
Woo-hoo, my first Explore! :)

I really enjoyed shooting the sunset from this little spot next to the dock on Key Largo, in the Florida Keys. The small rock barrier looks out past crystal-clear water to a sky half-painted with oranges and pinks. It is a long perspective, seemingly endless as the eye is guided toward the horizon.
