Last week, a much-needed soaking rain fell. During the storm, leaves were blown from their branches and some landed on my concrete driveway. The gentle pounding of raindrops pressed some flat to the concrete. The last color of the leaves must have bled out under them, leaving a few remarkably detailed and beautiful sepia stains behind once the leaves blew away. They reminded me of darkroom photograms I once made.
