Happy New Year 2025!

The demonstrators at the Parliament Hill whom the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau once called fringe society might have the last laugh. Trudeau's poll has plummeted to all time low in Dec 2024 following Liberal's Minister of Finance and Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland's resignation from the cabinet on Dec 16, 2024. Now dozens of Liberal MPs are calling for his resignation.

Justin Trudeau, once called Canada's feminist prime minister, now has three prominent female MPs out of his cabinet. First, there were Jody Wilson-Raybould and Jane Philpott over SNC-Lavalin_affair in 2019, a scandal involving attempted political interference with the justice system by Justin Trudeau and the Prime Minister's Office. The latest is Freeland's resignation over policy disagreements with Trudeau on tax breaks, disbursements and tariffs proposed by US President-elect Donald Trump on Canadian goods. I do wonder what are Justin Trudeau's options, we will see.

I am still learning how to take decent candid photos with a cellphone, ha ha. After seeing many racy ads from photos taken in London UK, particularly from stevedexteruk whom I follow, I challenged myself to find a racy ad in Ottawa. I google'ed and see which store has one of the racy ad in Canada. I discovered Garage Clothing, www.garageclothing.com/ca/, has stirred quite an uproar in their 2024 spring/summer rebranding campaign with their denim jeans ads.

Global News, "Garage rebrand draws backlash over racy ads ... sexualized imagery and lack of body positivity ... harmful to teen shoppers"
Daily Vancouver, "new marketing campaign ... inappropriate .. why are the models topless"
headtopics.com, "advertising campaign's provocative imagery ... more like GarBage"

In response to the criticism, Garage Clothing saying it is intended for women in their mid-20s. The company intended to move from the brand's early 2000's image aimed at teenagers to a second generation of loyal brand advocates, as our customers has evolved, so have we.

Others commented, "why we're in an uproar ... there are similar ads for cosmetics and longeries used for decades"
