Even under a leaden February sky and through thick observatory glass, the Manhattan skyline impresses as usual with its density and vertical feats.
Ninety-three floors up One Vanderbuilt (a.k.a. SUMMIT ONE), and the view looking South was incredible. Said to be the tallest building in Midtown Manhattan, and the city's fourth-tallest building after 111 West 57th Street, One Vanderbuilt rises some 1,401' (427m) above the street grant those with SUMMIT One ticket holders a breathtaking view.

A most recent addition for the curious, the Steiway building at 111 West 57th Street really stands out, and up. As it needles the low cloud deck on a February day, this 84-story, 1,428-foot (435-metre) residential tower defies gravity and space, even for the most narrow of livable spaces in the city.
