We finally got some snow today, not as much as predicted by the Metoffice (of course) but still better than nothing. Had a wander through the local woods and liked this scene with the autumnal brown leaves offset by the cold blue of the snow.

Happy New Year all! I hope that you all had a very good Christmas and New Year.

We got quite a bit of fog last weekend so thought I'd take advantage since I was passing through Heptonstall anyway (The main road to Todmorden has been closed for road works and idiots haven't put up any diversion signs!)

Anyway, it was rather foggy in the evening and I walked through the graveyard, I liked the contrast between the warm and cool light so took this. I did also lke the shadows as well of course.

Happy Christmas all , I hope you had a good day yesterday and have had a nice Boxing Day. Today has been very foggy indeed, not lifted at all so went for a 13 miles walk .
However, in the evening it did add some atmosphere so took this in Heptonstall . Seemed very quiet in the village which helped!

Went out with the camera for the first time in 2 months. I have shot this scene before and I can see all too clearly the mistakes in this that i didn't make in the 1st attempt a couple of years ago. I think I've lost my touch (not sure I ever had it! ) but at least I gave it a go.

Last time I got my camera out was 2 weeks ago today when I woke up to snowfall. I headed out the back of the garden and up to the reservoir to capture some snow shots before the rains moved in. I did like this image with the bridge spanning the water course through the trees.
