In the early years of the Wisconsin Central their access to Green Bay, Wisconsin was via trackage rights over the Green Bay and Western east from the junction of the two railroads at Black Creek. In this October 3rd, 1992 photo a pair of WC GP40s is leading train T219 on the GB&W at Seymour as it heads towards its final destination of the Wisconsin Centrals ex-Milwaukee Road Oakland avenue yard in the City of Green Bay. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©

At the Green Bay & Westerns small Norwood yard in Green Bay, Wisconsin Alco RS3u #308 is shunting cars on a Summers day back in 1992. – I will always remember that marvelous sound of the exhaust from these old Alco locomotives as they throttled up to tug on or shove against freight cars while switching. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©
