Back on August 25th, 2002 while exploring some obscure Wisconsin country back roads - I found this 1940 DeSoto four-door sedan in a farm field up in far northern Door County near the town of Gills Rock. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©

Not far from Wabasha, Minnesota, an old Ford flatbed truck looks quite comfortable resting in this field of Summer wildflowers. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©

On October 11th, 2011 out along Highway 56 just a few miles west of Viroqua, Wisconsin - A rusting 1940s vintage Chevrolet Fleetmaster sedan that looks like it has not been driven in quite some time rests in front of an old Country Schoolhouse. - This was the Colonel May District #7 School which was named for Kentucky Native and Civil War veteran Colonel Reuben May who donated land from his Vernon county farm back in 1867 for a rural Schoolhouse to be constructed at this location. – It was then rebuilt as seen here in 1922, with the final classes being held four decades later in the year 1962. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©

Along county highway E only a few miles from Monches, Wisconsin – an International Harvester “Farmall 400” row crop tractor of mid-1950s vintage is for sale – no doubt once the pride of an area farmer for many hard working years - and will be again to its eventual new owner. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©

A rusting green 1940s Ford 2-door sedan in front of an old barn surrounded by fall color – I just love this type of quiet setting, and I am always searching for them when I am out on my photographic adventures.

But these kind of scenes have been disappearing way to fast, this one was found out along Indiana Highway 104 not far from Stillwell back in October of 2014. ~~ A Jeff Hampton Photograph ©
