He is now a regular visitor to my neighbours lawn like clockwork coming in the mid afternoon hours. I must have startled him as normally I can just click away but this time he stood up and stood still.

No edits in these images whatsoever other than converting to JPG from RAW in Lightroom Classic. Shot in cloudy white balance because I like the way the colours pop.

Upon looking closer at other images I took yesterday, this is a muskrat. It did not leave when the beaver came down past it on the hill to the creek.

Just like a creature of habit this fella has been coming over to my neighbours yard now swimming in from the creek for a few days now in the late afternoon. He/she looks a little worse for wear with some skin hanging off it around is back, up on the other side near it''s "shoulder" and seems to have a chunk out of it's tail as well..
