When my mates and I went out photographing Western class diesels the HST's were being introduced, we used to joke that when we were old HST's would be preserved on the Valley. Now we are old and here stabled at Kidderminster is Railadventure 43480.
The platforms have been a blaze of colour over the Summer months but now they are losing their colour.
The Railway Museum at Kidderminster was hosting the GRA annual 'Rail-art' exhibition, it was the reason I was here.

A couple of local residents view the sunken BMW as it grates against the footbridge at Green Road ford.
Almost every time the River Cole floods some over confident pillock will try and splash through, no amount of warning signs seem to have any effect.
With luck this heap of waterlogged junk will soon be in a scrapyard.

A class 104 BRC&W DMU catches the sun as it approaches Wolverhampton H.L. station from the north. To the left green liveried D300 is waiting. Between the and the long black building (Carver's yard) is the Wolverhampton canal
D300 was built at the Vulcan Foundry, it went new to Crewe (north) 31/10/1960. Under TOPS it became 40100, the loco was withdrawn, still serviceable, from traffic 05/10/1980 and cut at Swindon works in June 1981. In 1965 D300 was allocated to Bescot, perhaps during this time, Peter took his picture.

323 215 together with 323 221 are the last two 323's in service with West Midlands Railway. The pair are at Bromsgrove working the 11.03 service to Lichfield Trent Valley. I suspect this will be my last ever picture of one.
The station called Bromsgrove is situated in Aston Fields on the very fringe of the town, to visit the beating heart of the town it is a bus ride, or a considerable hike Had this been originally a GWR station it would have been called Bromsgrove Road or even Aston Fields for Bromsgrove! Today, Bromsgrove Parkway would be a better name.
Bromsgrove station was listed for closure after the Beeching report, and it was only by the actions of the Bromsgrove Passenger Action Group that the station was eventually saved. Well done to them!
