I have never set foot on Wilnecote Station but judging from newer pictures I have seen it has changed considerably.
Gone are the charming ornate brick buildings in favour of draughty bus shelters. The neat and unusual "Gentlemans" with its neat row of fire buckets has long gone. On Peters platform the shelter in this picture has the look of a disused garden shed, a bus shelter is an improvement in this case. The station is gas lit with a BR "Wilnecote" totem on each lamp post. The ticket office is at road level, a neat wooden chalet.
Leaving the station is a Cravens class 105 working a Birmingham to Derby train, the station porteris walking past the train, it would seem nobody got off and what a step down it would have been, the platform is much too low.
We do not have a date for this picture, the DMU has electrification flashes so perhaps the mid 1960's?

The old church at Inkberrow has been strung with a net from the top of the tower to the ground, it has been decorated with 6000 knitted poppies. Inside the church identical knitted poppies were sold and tea and cakes were available.

Poppies, moving and still. taken of a late afternoon at Tyseley, during a day which never really got light.
West Midlands Railway has added a poppy to each 172 train set and the station volunteers have affixed large poppies onto the hanging basket brackets attached to the running in boards.
2K66 the 13.43 Stratford-upon-Avon to Kidderminster service is departing.
