Washwood Heath is temporary home to some stored Daimlers, HOV 785, HOV 797 and HOV 795 They are all CVD's with Metro-Cammell bodies from 1948 and by the look of the no longer shiny radiator shells they have been lanquishing for some time. Washwood Heath looks quite rural in this shot but in reality it is in Birmingham's inner ring. Photograph 1964

By Summer 1964 the Birds pit-of-doom was begining to become the lake of gloom, being a clay base the water did not drain and a very big lake formed. At the other side of the lake is KLB 983, RT2118, this was a new chassis in 1949 that received a 3RT3 roofbox body,it was sold to Birds for scrap 1/64. Fortunately for id purposes Birds have left the radiator with reg plate propped up against the front. Identification of the other RT's and Birmingham Daimlers is not possible.

Photographed in Birmingham, JJ 4160 was in regular use in 1973. The car, a Hillman Minx dating from the mid 1930's looks in very good condition but the DVLA site denies all knowledge of it, maybe it is in a collection somewhere? Behind the Minx is a very original looking Mini and a 1970/71 Ford Escort
