We are looking at what was once a row of neat local shops, the shop next to the lady was a grocer and next door was a greengrocer. This is Spring Road on the Tyseley/Acocks Green border and the shops have forever closed. They are unkempt places where the idle just dump their stinking, rotting bin bags, others see the pile and think "another won't hurt" so they add their filth.
We live in an age where furniture and white goods are dumped in a once well tended front garden, probably next to a car with flat tyres and an interior crammed with junk. Sadly these are such common sights that we tend to ignore them, a sad indictment of urban life in the 21st century, what a world to grow up in.
