in 1991 i came upon this amazing
area in Kolkata where scavengers were feasting on animal carcasses It was like a Hollywood set for me. I had an adrenaline rush as I have never seen this before in my life.

Tali Nula is a creek that runs through Kolkata.
The bones are tossed into this creek.


Many trips to this area over the decades and not one single vulture spotted.

Much to my chagrin vultures are dying from some fertilizer issue in the carcass and they are rarely seen in INDIA anymore.

I searched Varanasi but couldn't find a single one.

They are amazing animals....
