This image reminds me of days long ago . . . with my childhood friends.
Growing up in a rural area in the Philippines, the river was our swimming pool, the streets our playground. We made toys out of anything we could find under the sun – leaves, rocks, twigs. We watched the fish swim and the birds fly. To us they were the real witnesses to life. We did things, sometimes without rhyme or reason. But it didn’t matter. We just needed to smell out all that there was to life.
This photo was posted for PK Challenge #55 - Nostalgia/Vintage - used TTV layering to give the image the look of an old photograph.
FOOTNOTE: In case you're looking, I am not in this picture. This is a photo of my niece and her friends, taken only a year ago. Fooled you, eh?
