Lately I find myself taking pictures of odd stuff. I have basically been studying light and how and how it enhances a subject. I figure that since I am not going to be taking pictures of the mountains in Patagonia or the Alps any time soon, I do the best that I can to take pictures of everyday things and / or items that we neglect on a daily basis and make them come to life in images.

Thursday - Friday, May 16-17, 2024.
One of those rare powerful thunderstorms moved through the Houston, TX area on May 16. The storm brought heavy rain and winds in excess of 80 mph to over 100 mph in some areas of town. There as a lot of wind damage and we did not have power for a couple of days.
This image was captured late on May 17th during the last of the storms that day. The orange lighting during the sunset hours was amazing and I decided to grab the cameral and take some pictures of the droplets on the window.

A follow up to the Alien II image that I posted the other day. When shooting, I must have bumped the camera somehow while taking the image. I am not sure what I did but I ended up loving the abstract image that resulted.
