In time-honored tradition, Lake State Railway southbound road freight 326 lumbers out of Alpena with stone and cement loads in tow. Fortunately, the days of deteriorating infrastructure are nearly at and end. The railroad has invested considerable time, money, and effort into the Huron Subdivision. The area around Alpena seems to be the last spot that remains mostly untouched. I suspect it won't be long until speeds are increased and schedules changed.

L303 splits the searchlights at EE Sunfield in former Pere Marquette ABS territory. The former siding at Sunfield was removed by CSX in 2021 after being used for car storage (or sitting unused) for a decade prior. These signals should be removed in the near future as part of CSX's investment into the Plymouth Subdivision.
