North Yorkshire is not a place I have visited much, but on my way to the Lakes I thought I would go to a couple of places this being one of them, of course late afternoon is not ideal here but the sun broke free of the clouds at this time so got the old Sony out and snapped a few pictures. Managed to get this one as the train happened to cross the viaduct with sunrays breaking through.
This place has such a variety of light even in the little time that was spent at this location, I can see why you can when here capture in the evening and dawn such atmospheric light and mood!!!
Yorkshire is certainly a place to visit more.

Taken on a recent visit to Yorkshire and true to form during my visit the heavens opened up and getting wind swept as my journey across the dales began, iit wasn't that bad when I left the car. After negotiating the drenched landscape backtracking a few times and getting a little wet through managing to capture a few images with this being the least amount of rain drops on the lens to clone out, so hopefully it won't spoil your view of this image too much. It did take longer to return to the car as I had to journey to the viaduct to avoid puddles and drenched landscape.
It did take sometime to find these limestones and it was not until I got to them that I knew these were the right ones to get the intended view of the limestones view to Ribblehead Viaduct after since seeing a similar view of this in an image a year or two back.

Captured on my may to the lake district earlier this year and decided to have a stop off in Yorkshire. Was not the best of days from the weather point of view but then that was for the whole time in the lakes again anyway. Here trying something that was not quite long exposure but slowing the speed down enough to get textures in the water. Decided to climb down me never wanting to do things easily to put myself in front of the abandoned log...
Purely using the firecrest polariser and camera settings to get the speed for this one...

captured at fountains abbey in Yorkshire a few weeks ago, trying out some depth of field photography emphasising the golden autumn leaves and enough defocus of the background.
