Just one block away from the tent camps of the drug addicts on E Hastings Street. As I learned a couple of minutes later.

I didn't notice it while looking through the viewfinder. But the guy on the right had blood all over his face and his hand. Just saw it afterwards when I passed him. Shortly after, he turned around and followed me. Time to turn back again for me. Seems that Blood Alley has all rights to carry its name. And that 7:20AM is not the best of times to walk around a street one block away from the tent camp at Hastings Street. Or any other time. At least in Blood Alley there seem to be efforts of reclaiming the street although this will only transfer the problem to another street.
