Cheboygan Vacation 2022--En Route

This sculpture's part of a set in the rest area at Clare, which honors former Highway Commisioner John Mackie. The sculpture honors the folks who build and maintain Michigan's highways.

This lady's off to the side, sort of hiding in the flowers, but obviously working with the rest of the crew. I notice she's in this photo, too.

Cheboygan Vacation 2022--Monday

We woke to rain, went out for breakfast in town, and returned to find the campsite covered with about an inch and a half of rain. More annoying, actually, was that our canopy had collapsed while we were away.

The canopy's damage was fatal, though we propped it up and made do for the rest of the week. And the campsite's water mostly vanished soon after the rain stopped, though we were coping with mud for the rest of the outing.
