Replacing an earlier scanned 6"x4" print with a better version 21-Mar-22 (DeNoise AI). Taken well beyond the focal length of the lens I had at the time, rather grainy.

The Deutsche BA version of British Airways 'Landor' livery.

Named: "Otto Lilienthal".

This aircraft was delivered to Maersk Air (Denmark) as OY-MAO in Mar-94. It was sold to a lessor and leased back to Maersk.

It was wet-leased to Deutsche BA in Dec-95 and the lease became a dry-lease in Jan-96 when the aircraft was re-registered D-ADBH. It was returned to Maersk Air and the lessor in Feb-01.

Ten days later the aircraft was leased to Go Fly Ltd (British Airways answer to easyJet and based at Stansted) as G-IGOS. Go Fly didn't do well for BA and it was sold to the easyJet Airline Company in Dec-02. The aircraft continued in service un it was returned to the lessor in Jun-06.

In Jul-06 it was leased to Norwegian Air Shuttle as LN-KKT. The aircraft returned to the lessor as N308MS in Jul-11. It was leased to Sriwijaya Air (Indonesia) as PK-CKK in Aug-11.

The aircraft was permanently retired and stored at Jakarta-CGK in Jul-17. In Jun-18 it was moved to Yuntaishan, Anhui, China and is now preserved as a tea restaurant! Updated, 21-Mar-22.

Taken from the North Terminal while I was in transit.

This is an aircraft that got around a bit! It was delivered to AWAS Ansett Worldwide Aviation Services and leased to Monarch Airlines (UK) as G-MONV in Apr-91. It was returned to the lessor in Apr-96.

Five days later it was leased to Maersk Air (Denmark) as OY-MBN and returned to the lessor in Mar-98. Next, it was leased to Istanbul Airlines (Turkey) as TC-IAD in Apr-98, it was returned to the lessor as N5033 in Nov-99 and stored.

At the end of Mar-00 the aircraft was leased to Philippine Airlines as RP-C4008 and returned to the lessor in Apr-06. It was leased to Aegean Airlines as SX-BTO in May-06 and returned to the lessor in late 2007.

In Jan-08 it was leased to Norwegian Air Shuttle as LN-KKA and returned to the lessor in Jan-11 and leased to WebJet Linhas Aereas (Brasil) as PR-WJX in Feb-11.

It was withdrawn from service and stored at Belo Horizonte-CNF (Brasil) in May-12. In Sep-12 it was ferried to Opa Locka, FL, USA and returned to the lessor.

The aircraft remained in storage at Opa Locka until it was leased to 'Clube Nautico Agua Limpa' (Brasil) as PR-CID in Dec-12. It was permanently retired at Sao Jose do Rio Preto, PR, Brasil in Dec-14. Updated 21-Mar-22.

Named: "City of Canterbury".

This aircraft first flew as G-BDXK in Jan-81 and was then stored by Boeing at Everett (PAE) until it was finally delivered to British Airways over 2 years later in Mar-83.

It served with British Airways for over 18 years until it was retired and stored at Cardiff, UK in Oct-01 and later moved to Mojave, CA, USA in Apr-02.

It was sold to a leasing company in Jul-02 and leased to Air Atlanta Icelandic in Oct-02 as TF-ARG. It was operated by the Air Atlanta Group on various charters including 3 Haj Pilgrimage operations for Garuda Indonesian until it was retired at Kemble UK in Oct-06. It was broken up at Kemble in Aug-07.
