Taken at Buttermere, quite a well known spot, however the clouds were covering the tops all day with no sign of sun. Later in the afternoon the cloud decended further and within minutes the pines had vanished.

Taken Jan 11th 25. This was my second trip this year, the first being a bust with stubborn low cloud on the horizon. Similar issue this time but with more high cloud the sky was on fire. Just 8 or so photographers jostling for position, definitely worth the trip this time.

Well it looks like that, however in reality "large" is about 10mm in diameter. A stack of 30 or so images processed n LR and stacked in Helicon.
