This is a play by Redmoon Theater in Chicago called Last of My Species about a fictional Norwegian musician named Laarna Cortaan. It well exceeded my expectations...being at times quite brilliant and hysterical. It was also really amazing to take photos of.

Clearly my friend Mike and his girlfriend Juie are awesome! This year, instead of making a regular gingerbread house, this tardis was created as well as the evil looking snow man (wouldn't weeping snowangels or cyber snowmen be really creepy?) in honor of the Dr. Who Christmas special. I am pretty amazed by how awesome this turned out!

Sonar Festival Chicago Cultural Center 2010. This is a triptych of the ceiling architeture, the floor architecture (the hell arises from Dante but you probably already understood that because you're smart!) and speakers and the stage between them. This is a festival that just started this year in Chicago but has also been an ongoing festival in Barcelona, Spain that focuses on experimental music. Though I didn't see nearly enough or everything, this was my favorite performance that I saw. It was called La Chambre des Machines and featured Martin Messier and Nicolas Bernier performing noisist and futurists electronic music. I believe both of these artists may hail from Montréal, Canada. Really amazing stuff to behold. You can hear some of this music and read more about it here:
