I'm still so impressed by this band. Dehd are highly energetic and recommended. I wish I had been able to capture them better in the very small space I was in but I didn't want to block anyone and the videographer needed the same space for while. Have a listen:

I took some better photos of Dehd before the pandemic:

As much as I love supporting bands that I am happy to see in Chicago from farther away, I also want to give love to more local bands like Dehd, a great garage-punk rock band in my city that is starting to get a lot of accolades with good reason! (Who cares if they can't spell!)

I've posted a few photos of Dehd and I'm lucky enough to live in Chicago (where they also live and play often).
In any case, by the time I had gotten to this stage at Square Roots Fest from the Aeon Station stage, they had already started and the crowd was massive. I am happy for them but I'm just not the type of person to elbow my way through a crowd (Do I even have elbows? I forget about them a lot!) I would have liked to have gotten photos of their awesome drummer, Eric McGrady, but alas I could only shoot way from the side. Also, given the new variants of the pandemic, I didn't want to be in the thick of a packed crowd even though I was double masked. Several friends have gotten really sick lately but alas most people are just not paying attention here anymore.
