The photo shows the Louvre’s iconic glass pyramid rising prominently in the Cour Napoléon. Its clean, triangular lines are framed by the ornate façades of the historic museum buildings. The dry paving stones stretch across the courtyard, leading the eye toward the modern structure. Designed by architect I. M. Pei and completed in 1989, the pyramid serves as the main entrance to the museum. It stands 21.6 meters tall with a base width of 35 meters and is constructed of glass and metal, blending modern design with the historical setting.
