Dailyshoot -- Make a photograph of an object or surface that has a glint or a sparkle in it today.

Des Moines artist and sculptor, John Brommel, captured the attention of Southeast Polk High School Book Club, Art and Industrial Tech students on October 19th in the Library. John is attentive to the environment as he recycles and repurposes materials into sculpture, utilizing technical genres and working with new and innovative applications. His praying mantis watches over the Enabling Gardens in Altoona. John shared his ideas and told many interesting stories about pieces he has created for individuals and organizations across America. He emphasized that no age is too old to learn new things. Students were inspired to use their imaginations during a hands-on part of the program. The students were given wire, beads, tools and sketches of master artists and asked to have fun! Creativity flowed.
