Tomorrow, we celebrate our fiftieth wedding anniversary. I always thought that was for old people, but now I've change my mind!
Reflecting over fifty years, they have been wonderful. The first twenty saw us graduating college and beginning jobs! We were blessed with three boys and a girl during this time. Of course, life in our house was like a zoo!
The next twenty saw the older kids graduate, go off to college, and get married. We were blessed with our first grandchild.
As the century turned, we celebrated our thirtieth anniversary. This decade gave us three more loving grandchildren! And our two younger kids are now graduating and heading out to college. Our nest is empty in 2006! Time flies!
These past ten years, I think the clock is ticking faster! Our two younger children are now grown, getting married, and beginning their precious families. We are blessed with three more wonderful grandchildren!
Covid has put a halt to our celebrating with family and friends, scattered all across the country. We will celebrate with my Dad, who will soon be 98. We are happy and blessed with good health. I know we will reminisce about these fifty years and dream ahead to many more. We are thankful for that first blind date in high school, the Spring of 1967, when the roller rink was called Teen Town and we had dances there! Seems like yesterday!

We stayed at home, with my dad. He is almost 98. We are being careful not to catch the Covid. And so we decorated and celebrated with many great wishes from family and friends. It was a beautiful day and we loved talking about the past 50 years. The weather was 74 degrees, so we were able to sit outside a couple of times and listen to some great music from the past!

This is a "gold" picture, but it is also a celebration! The memories of 50 years together are sweet and savory!
