Whilst taking some sunset shots of Lake Windermere from Waterhead Pier, towards the Old Man of Coniston, I was joined by a friendly Swan, presumably on the scrounge for food. I didn't have an ideal set up for taking wildlife, a Lee Little Stopper in order to smooth out the water, so I had to wait until the Swan was very, very still and crank the ISO up a bit.

Taken at Waterhead Pier, Ambleside, at the end of one of the very few glorious sunny days this spring just before Easter. The Area was packed with people enjoying the last vestiges of the sun.

This was taken as a series of 6 bracketed images, including 3 with my hand blocking out the sun to stop the flare.
