Had fun the other day shooting the Dance and Drama Showcase at Beacon Academy, Cleethorpes. This performance counts towards the pupil’s coursework and I’m sure, based on what I saw, that they’ll all do very well; some very talented young people.
This particular shot was from a very emotive dance piece entitled “Paralysed”.
Looking forward to shooting the Music Showcase this week.
It was also an opportunity to try out my new Canon R5😁

Although living only an hour or so from York, and having been there numerous times, I’ve never actually gone there specifically to do a photo shoot, until last weekend that is.
One of the shots in mind for the visit was this fairly classic view of the Minster from along the City walls. The sun was setting behind me, to the left, illuminating both the Minster and the sides of the walls. Traffic by this time was already using lights and so a long exposure, with the aid of a 3 stop ND, allowed the capture of light trails. However, due to the timing of the traffic lights, and not wanting to use an excessively long exposure, I had to take a couple of shots and blend them. Though it did also allow me to focus stack as well.
A pity there wasn’t a little more interest in the sky though😏.

Spring tides have nothing to do with the season, but are more to do with the moon’s cycle. With all that said, the trees were blossoming, the tide was high, and the full moon had just set. So by all accounts, a Spring Tide!
Shot at Barton upon Humber, looking towards the Humber Bridge around sunrise during official Golden Hour.

A quick hand held grab whilst out walking the dog. There was some light mist and lots of dew on the reeds as the sun was coming up. Unfortunately, at the resolution that I post at, the dew is not that defined, but the full res image is super sharp and full of detail.
