A trip to Guédelon was an excellent occasion to try a roll of Kodak Pro Image 100. Nice film, thank you Cyrille :). Guédelon (www.guedelon.fr) is a large experimental archeology project of building a middle age castle with techniques of that time. After a quarter century of work it is nearing completion, apparently a village will be built around it. The TV channel ARTE has a couple of documentary about it that regularly show on their website.

Thank you everyone for your visits, faves and comments, they are always appreciated :)

Many of these firs you see draping the hills of the Morvan are cultivated forest. Some end up as Christmas trees, a lot more are turned into paper, furnitures and God knows what other wood products. Nowadays they are harvested with these machines that chops trees off a hill with remarkable efficiency...

While I was framing this picture, I was told I should rather take it with my digital camera because it's quicker to delete... well, I did it anyways. Non mais des fois! I must say, I kind of like the Pro Image.

The chapel in the Castle of Guédelon (www.guedelon.fr). Ex Oriente Lux... I can't remember where I read that piece of text by a middle age scholar mentioning that Arabic science and philosophy had become so popular that the surest way to have one's writings spreading was to claim they were translations from Arabic manuscripts.
