KLIA Satelite Building 27/02/2011 07h49
We haven't been to Malaysia but were fortunate to transfer from our flight from Amsterdam to our flight to Jakarta. A beautiful airport with great facilities and shops.
Visible downstairs is the Aerotrain station that links this satalite building with the main terminal. It was out of service due to maintenance when we were here.
This airport was built in 1998. More information about KUL on Wikipedia.

Jl. Hayam Wuruk | Olmino 27/02/2011 14h01
Our first attempt for a walk in the neighourhood of our hotel stranded within about 500 meters due to the lack of a pavement at most places.
Visible here is the one and only fast transport service in Jakarta; the TransJakarta busses on special lanes.

TransJakarta
TransJakarta is a bus rapid transit system in Jakarta, Indonesia. TransJakarta started on January 15, 2004 and as of March 2011, there are 10 corridors (or lines) in operation, with five more to be built. TransJakarta was designed to provide the citizens of Jakarta with a fast public transportation system to help reduce rush hour traffic, and is used by approxomately 250,000 people every day. The buses run in special lanes, and the ticket prices are subsidized by the state government.
The first TransJakarta line opened to the public on January 15, 2004. Following two weeks in which it was free to use, commercial operations started on February 1, 2004. It now carried on average opproximately 250,000 passengers a day.
TransJakarta was built with the objective of providing the citizens of Jakarta with a fast, comfortable, and affordable mass transportation system in mind. To accomplish those objectives, the buses were given lanes restricted to other traffic and separated by concrete blocks on the streets that became part of the busway routes, and the ticket price is subsidized by the state government.

Just somewhere near the old harbor and the freeway. Just a streetview on a Jakarta moment.
