Here are a few things I learned during a walking tour of the Historic Old Northeast neighborhood and another walking tour of Downtown, both in St. Petersburg, FL:
1. Flamingos beat gators for front-lawn ornaments, but not by much.
2. Extra points if you have a flamingo motif on your shutters.
3. Florida is not a place to let your yard go.
4. Although camping might not actually be permitted on the northwest corner of Mirror Lake, at least four individuals had spent the night lakeside. Three were still sleeping. The fourth was watching the waterbirds and listening to a portable radio, from the comfort of his sleeping bag. City Hall is on the southeast corner of Mirror Lake.
5. Lawn Bowling seems to be alive and well in St. Petersburg. The facility is large (in acreage) and seems well maintained, but was unoccupied early Sunday morning when I went by. Active since 1916.

With this lens on, the best place to get the shot of the Boulevard Diner was right in the middle of Plum Street, which sees more traffic than you would think for a side street off of Shrewsbury. At least part of this multiple exposure is due to moving the camera and tripod from the street to the sidewalk while my 20 seconds counted down.
