Ranicullus , Yellow : Since I ve been showing giantic fields of these flowers (see previous). I thoutht I better show what they look like close up. A very tight circular pattern. These seem to come in almost every color of the palate. Taken in Carlsbad, California.

For a color fiesta in southern California stop of the Interstate 5 freeway at Carlsbad near Legoland and wander the commercial flower fields that bloom from February to June. Have some strawberry shortcake with whipcream when you are done or go buy your own boquet of flowers to bring home. As you wander up and down the fields you will also look out on the blue Pacific Ocean. Its a fabulous side trip to make on a visit to San Diego or Orange County. a true travel joy.

Red Ranniculus runing riot over three misplaced yellow fellows in the commercial flower fields of Carlsbad, California. This is one from last season but it is always a joy to visit these rainbow fields of wonder. Grown mostly for seed but also harvested for boquets and a terrific place to stop on your I-5 journey in southern California about 20 miles north of San Diego. Blessings
