One of the best though there are many to choose from. This is the north end of the beach and the trail on this end is really steep and dangerous. Great views though. This was a great day unlike the current weather which is nicknamed May Gray. Its famous as a nude beach but many come clothed to walk and in wet suits to surf. Classic geologic cliff erosion makes it always changing and unstable after storms. Its an nature paradise that most tourists miss. Well its the year round thing to do when you are hanging out at the Pacific shore in southern California. This is in San Diego's Pacific Beach neighborhood.

Silly is great. This fellow was doing the hockey pockey on the pier while I was trying to take surf pictures. His leg is ok but he really was hopping up and down for some reason. Didnt last long enough for video. I think this gull is into hiphop. Blessings

A wonderful tower built for a Worlds Fair the Spanish Rocco style architecture of the park was such a hit it became a permanent landmark in San DIego. The park is right next to the world famous zoo. But I like it even better as its so nice to stroll here and enjoy the gardens, buildings and museums. A must for all travelers and locals too.

Hunting for shells under the boardwalk at Mission Beach is a joy. Each little find is one of nature's treasures. After storms is the best time as is winter, but sometimes you can find life's pleasure in any season including summer. It you stroll under the pier you can find more beauty. There are mollusks, clams, and starfish living on the posts so wear you shorts, bikini or any swimsuit and go wandering. Seek and ye shall find.
