Southern Ontario just went through the worst ice storm in many years. Trees some hundreds of years old were destroyed by the weight of the two inch thick ice that encased their branches. So many branches broke under the weight of the ice that entire parks and forests were decimated.

We had a very busy Christmas season, spent visiting family and friends. While at my Dads house in Belleville the frozen pond out back seemed strange without the normal snow covered fields. but it hasn't snowed all that much this year so far. I think it made for a wonderful image.
